Actress Kate Walsh teamed up with the Narcolepsy Network in 2007 as the spokesperson of our national awareness campaign in our effort to increase understanding of narcolepsy. Ms. Walsh is best known for her recurring role as Dr. Addison Shepherd on the award-winning series "Grey's Anatomy" and the ABC spin-off, "Private Practice", is featured in a series of public service announcements that encouraged people who suspect they have narcolepsy to see their doctor.
In addition to the public service announcements, the Narcolepsy Network produced an educational brochure, Understanding Narcolepsy, a DVD, Living With Narcolepsy and developed a screening tool to help people determine if they may suffer from the disorder.
